    Qigong
Do you like the idea of improving your health, flexibility and energy levels?
Well, you can! Qigong (pronounced 'Chi-Gong')has been doing this for people in China for thousands of years and it is now available to you to benefit from here.

Using special movements in combination with and mindfulness and breathing, you will quickly learn how to tune into your own energy system, improving the flow of your body's vital energy (qi).

    What is Qigong ?
The word Qigong means 'energy cultivation'. There are many different types of qigong, each having a particular purpose, or action, but a common feature is the use of slow, rhythic movement (and sometimes static postures) coupled with use of the breath and mind to direct attention and awareness. This harnessing of movement, mind and breath is immensely powerful and will quickly allow you to experience Qi directly, as its flow and power grows within you.

Although internally very powerful, the movements themsleves are very soft and gentle. Qigong is suitable for you whatever your age or current health. Practising Qigong will increase your energy-levels and stamina, and improve your suppleness, mobility and balance.

What can it do for me ?
Learning to use your mind and breath to control the slow, rhythmic movements of Qigong, you will learn to feel the movement of Qi within you - a fascinating and wonderful thing to experience!

    Regular practice will:
    • allow you to experience Qi directly as a force which you can 'harvest'

    • improve your suppleness and sense of 'ease' within your body
    • improve your energy level and stamina
    • give you insights into how your body functions

    • refresh your body and mind

    • help you access a calm and meditative state.

    • Qi gong is especially effective in helping:
    • long-standing back problems
    • lowering stress levels
    • ease stiffness in joints
    • regulating blood pressure

Qigong is sometimes said to be 'meditation through movement' and this aspect helps train your mind to give you more focus and clarity in your everyday life.
