Shiatsu Testimonials

"I came to see Lee for treatment suffering from severe stress with related symptoms of headaches, muscle pain, anxiety, etc.
I had 2 treatments and they helped enormously. His lifestyle advice was also extemely helpful and sensitive."

M.G.(Chesham)

"I would highly recommend Shiatsu with Lee to anyone who is feeling out of sorts but does not necessarily know why, especially to those who have been advised to seek acupuncture but do not like the thought of needles. It feels like a natural way to bring your body back into balance and is also deeply relaxing. I would visit Lee in preference to my GP anyday!

Janey Goodearl (Princes Risborough)

"My shiatsu sessions with Lee have successfully resolved a variety of problems, from muscular aches and pains to menstrual problems, and have always been deeply relaxing and nurturing. Lee’s professionalism; evident love of his work and compassion further contribute to the wonderful quality of his treatments."
Ruth Ward, Life Coach (Amersham)

"I would recommend the benefits of Shiatsu massage. It was first recommended to me by Dr Sharma, well-known alternative health practioner and writer, of the Hale Clinic, Regents Park in London (who I believe treated the late Princess of Wales, by the way). I had experienced various types of other massage techniques, physiotherapy, chiropracty etc.. In my view Shiatsu massage is by far the best and Lee Sanger is an excellent practitioner. The style of service offered is consistently calm, committed and focussed, which gives the patient total confidence. The treament is gentle and deeply relaxing - in my case I am conducted into a kind of heavenly coma from which I emerge feeling refreshed and 'healed' ..."

Rhiannon Bruce (Berkhamstead)

“Shiatsu has helped me to become more grounded (having had ‘headless chicken syndrome’ for months) and more in touch with myself. This has made it possible for me to make some life changing decisions and gain structure for the future. I am much calmer in my outlook and more relaxed about making space for my own needs.

Thanks Lee, I couldn’t have done it without you!”

Janet Beetham (High Wycombe)

Qigong & Teaching Testimonials

"Qigong and Tai Chi have totally changed my life for the better – I am more grounded and balanced than I used to be and am able to come back to my centre far more quickly and readily after life’s little set backs!"
Heather Kennard (Tadworth)

"I knew of Lee in the area in which I live and went to him first for Shiatsu, which helped my intermittent back problem.
When my back went into spasm causing great pain and inability to walk by myself for two months, I contacted him again to request information on Tai Chi Classes. He informed me that he was starting up a morning Qi Gong class in our local park. After 3 more months it all happened. There we were, a group (about 6) doing exercises in the park at 7am, some of us carried on throughout summer and winter!

Four and a half years have now passed and still the group meets every weekday morning, not in rain/snow but all other weathers. Lee, unfortunately, left us some time ago
[a move to Amersham]and there are now only 3 of the original group left, but we are up to a maximum of 10 in spring/summer and usually 5 in winter – ages range from early 50s to 86!
We do the18 Qi Gong (Shibashi) as taught by Lee and other Qi Gong exercises as well as Tai Chi 24 form.

My back problem, although still there, as I discover when I have not been able to exercise, is, on the whole, well maintained. I can now do most of the things I did before and even can touch my toes – something I could not do as a teenager and I am now in my mid 60s!

At the beginning, it was fascinating to participate in slow, gentle exercises, which helped my condition, but to have the wisdom of the East also endowed upon us was a great experience. I am eternally grateful to Lee for starting up the group and cannot envisage a time when the practice of Qi Gong and Tai Chi would not be an important and pleasurable part of my life. Through my introduction to Qi Gong and Tai Chi my life has been enriched by the energy I have discovered in myself and also in the insight of Chinese philosophy and concept of ying/yang.

I am grateful that I went through the very painful experience of my spinal problem for from it has come a richer, more enjoyable life and many new friends.

Lee is a lovely man, a great and sensitive teacher and a highly thought of friend."
